By learning to attend to all the different experiences of your daily life, learn to be in touch with emotions and thoughts, you can discover a greater depth and the richness in day-to-day interactions, relationships, tasks, life choices and intentions. Classes will introduce how to ‘rest’ using ancient yogic practices of Yoga Nidra and others, including contemporary such as iRest (Integrated Restoration) protocols which aim to re-create and enhance greater sensory awareness and ‘attentional’ competencies – to be present.
Restorative
GENTLE HATHA YOGA & MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS – Restorative Yoga focuses on using a Mindfulness gentle yoga exercise with restful pause as a form of mind-body ‘neuromuscular’ movement that focuses on encouraging the student to increase one’s awareness of muscles, movement, breath and relaxation more fully into the posture/stretch. By learning both awareness of movement, sensation of the physical body, how the body ‘holds’ and ‘let’s go’, learning as we navigate alignment with body, mind, breath and posture, we can learn better awareness of discomfort, what brings comfort/‘settling’ – an awakening process achieved through mindful movement – the brain re-learns how to ‘relax’, the body re-learns how to ‘rests’ using ancient yogic practises of Yoga Nidra and contemporary such as iRest (Integrated Restoration) protocols which aim to re-create and enhance greater sensory awareness and ‘attentional’ competencies – to be present.
